Rune stone from Skällerö, Uppland (U 998).

According to the Samnordisk runtextdatabas the inscription reads:

þurstin : auk ronti : [litu : raisa : stain þino : abtiR s-ar-(h)(a)ufþ]a : bruþur sin : kuþ hialbi hons| |salu| |uk| |kuþs muþiR [osmun](r)t ' markaþi

Þorsteinn ok Randvé létu reisa stein þenna eptir S[v]ar[t]hôfða, bróður sinn. Guð hjalpi hans sálu ok Guðs móðir. Ásmundr markaði.

Þorsteinn and Randvé had this stone raised in memory of Svarthôfði , their brother. May God and God's mother help his soul. Ásmundr marked.
