This stone tower in Touro Park on Rhode Island has been thought to be a Viking construction. This is not the case, and the arguments for it have been shown to be wrong in every regard. The earliest references to it describe it as a stone windmill, and it is likely that this is the case. The photograph shows it in 1894.
