Rune stone (Vs 9)

Rune stone from Saltängsbron, Västmanland (Vs 9).

According to the Samnordisk runtextdatabas the inscription reads:

× kisl × lit × kera × buru × eftR × osl × sun × sin × han u(a)[rþ] × tyþr × a eklati × kuþ ialbi × has × ont auk × selu

Gísl lét gera brú eptir Ásl/Ôsl, son sinn. Hann varð dauðr á Englandi. Guð hjalpi hans ônd ok sálu.

Gísl had the bridge made in memory of Ásl/Ôsl, his son. He died in England. May God help his spirit and soul.
