Some of the oil and gas fields in Norway are named for elements of Norse mythology. Heidrun (Old Norse Heiðrún) was the goat that produced the mead for the einherjar in Valhalla.

Other fields include Brage (Bragi), Grane (Grani), Gullfaks (Gullfaxi), Heimdal (Heimdallr), Norne (Norn), Skirne (Skirnir), Valhall (Valhöll).
