<p><br /><span>According to the </span><em>Samnordisk runtextdatabas</em><span> the inscription reads: </span><br /><br />× tula : lit : raisa : stain : þinsa| |at : sun : sin : haralt : bruþur : inkuars : þaiR furu : trikila : fiari : at : kuli : auk : a:ustarla| |ar:ni : kafu : tuu : sunar:la : a sirk:lan:ti<br /><br />Tóla lét reisa stein þenna at son sinn Harald, bróður Ingvars. Þeir fóru drengila fjarri at gulli ok austarla erni gáfu, dóu sunnarla á Serklandi.</p>
<p>Tóla had this stone raised in memory of her son Haraldr, Ingvarr's brother. They travelled valiantly far for gold, and in the east gave (food) to the eagle. (They) died in the south in Serkland.</p>

<p><br /><span>According to the </span><em>Samnordisk runtextdatabas</em><span> the inscription reads: </span><br /><br /><strong>hikkulfr × auk × aulfr × þaiR × letu × raiisa × staina × baþa × at + broþur × sin × kitilmut * auk × bro × iftiR × somu × moþur × sina × ia × iruni × (h)iuk × broþiR + hinaR ×</strong><br /><br /><em>Helgulfr(?)/Hegulfr(?) ok Eyjulfr þeir létu reisa steina báða at bróður sinn Ketilmund ok brú eptir Sómu, móður sína. En Brúni(?) hjó, bróðir hennar.</em></p>
<p>Helgulfr(?)/Hegulfr(?) and Eyjulfr, they had both of the stones raised in memory of their brother Ketilmundr; and the bridge in memory of Sóma, their mother. And Brúni(?), her brother, cut.</p>

<p>Bjôrn made these monuments in memory of Holmfastr, his father and Jarl, his brother.</p>

<p>Rune stone at <span>Vävle, Södermanland.</span><br /><br />According to the <em>Samnordisk runtextdatabas</em> the inscription reads: <strong><br /><br />omuþa * lit * raisa * stain * þinsa * eftir * ku[na]... sun * sin * kuþ * ialbi ans * (s)alu</strong><br /><br /><em>Ámóða lét reisa stein þenna eptir Gunna/Gunna[r], son sinn. Guð hjalpi hans sálu.</em></p>
<p>Ámóða had this stone raised in memory of Gunni/Gunnarr, his son. May God help his soul.</p>

<p>The Ramsund Rock Carving (<span>Ramsundsberget)</span>, one of the most famous runic inscriptions in Sweden, depicting recognisable scenes from the Sigurd legend alongside a memorial inscription referring to the building of a bridge.<br /><br />According to the <em>Samnordisk runtextdatabas</em> the inscription reads: <strong><br /><br />siriþr : kiarþi : bur : þosi : muþiR : alriks : tutiR : urms : fur * salu : hulmkirs : faþur : sukruþar buata * sis *</strong><br /><br /><em>Sigríðr gerði brú þessa, móðir Alríks, dóttir Orms, fyrir sálu Holmgeirs, fôður Sigrøðar, bónda síns.</em></p>
<p>Sigríðr, Alríkr's mother, Ormr's daughter, made this bridge for the soul of Holmgeirr, father of Sigrøðr, her husbandman.</p>
