Viking River Cruises - Explore More Magazine, Summer 2016
Tourism
Explore More is a quarterly magazine published by Viking River Cruises. This edition features an article about the new ship Viking Sea being added to Viking's fleet. The article describes how the ceremony for christening the ship paid homage to the company's Norwegian heritage. This included using a replica 11th-century axe to cut the ribbon for the christening 'in honour of the Vikings who once explored the British Isles'.

Runic Banana
Reception
Not every item we receive is wholly serious. This runic banana is an excellent example of modern reuse and engagement with the past. It was left outside the World-Tree office by person or persons unknown.

Thorlabs optical equipment company
Branding
Thorlabs is an optical equipment company headquartered in the US, but with a lab in Ely, Cambridgeshire (where the contributor saw this logo). The company was apparently named after the founder's dog, Thor (who was presumably named after the Norse god!)

Norse Corp threat intelligence network
Branding
Norse Corp describes itself as "the world's largest dedicated threat intelligence network". The link to the Vikings and the use of a bind-rune as a logo may be linked to the company ethos: "We believe in taking the hits so our customers don’t have to. That’s why we wander the worst neighborhoods of the Internet, looking for trouble, just asking to be attacked." More information on the Official Website at http://www.norse-corp.com/
