Les Vikings de la Guadeloupe
Band
One of the most important French Antillean bands of the 60s and 70s, who reformed recently. Described as mix of Biguine, Funk, Latin, Compas and early Zouk. The connection with the Vikings is perhaps the fact that they were pioneering and non-conformist.

Modern Interpretation of Viking Faith: "Did the true Heathenry influence the mind-set of Vikings?"
Spirituality - Ásatrú
Personal interpretation of Viking faith, inspired by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and influenced by spirituality and theosophy.
From the contributor:
"Rediscovering the profound þeosofi and spirituality in Heathenry - every concept, and the many names, understood in that new light. Etymology Old Icelandic and Sanskrit.
Groundbreaking new insight.
Did this ancient knowledge still influence our mind-set in the Viking age and the dark middle ages?"
Guðrún Kristín Magnúsdóttir
Óðsmál
According to the contributor: "Óðsmál research started in MI University year 1990. Research on the ancient tradition vor siður, from the point of view of þeosofi and Science of Consciousness, our ancient Heathenry, which is dateless. Sanskrit origin of names and concepts in vor forni siður indicates a long long time. "

Humour
A remix of a public domain image of the Krogsta Rune stone in the archives of the Swedish National Heritage Board, by Lars Lundqvist. This image, which makes a comment on the possibilities afforded by Creative Commons images was produced as part of the 'Recreate Culture' initiative, in which Flickr users were encouraged to use public domain images in innovative ways. Users were asked to "Post a comment on an old picture, making a paraphrase, as something old in a
newcontext. Collide, innovate, play with space and time. Create and recreate. Bring to life. Modify and change location."
