Description

One of the earliest reconstructions, the 'Viking' is a replica of the Gokstad ship and was built in Framnes Shipyard in Sandefjord, Norway in 1892-93. It sailed across the Atlantic to the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The Viking is now preserved in Geneva, Illinois.
